Pine Cones of North America!!

This selection of framed Giclee Reproduction  prints is from The North American Sylva by Thomas Nuttall.  Published in Philadelphia in the year 1859. Each print was individually hand colored with gorgeous original watercolor work after being printed from a stone lithograph in black and white at the time of publication in 1859. These are our Giclee Reproductions of this series. Each print depicts various types of North American trees from the United States, Canada, and Nova Scotia. Many of these beautiful prints were illustrated by the famous Pierre Joseph Redoute (1759 - 1840), his brother Henri Joseph Redoute(1776-?)  and Pancrace Bessa (1772-1835) who was one of Pierre Redoute's most talented pupils. All three of these men are among the greatest botanical illustrators of all time.
